Just saw the movie “Unbreakable” in my PC. I heard that the train disaster was planned by Elijah (played by Samuel L. Jackson) before I saw the movie, so the climax was not quite interesting. And I just can’t stand the idea that he killed so many people, just to find his opposite! Its weird. It just doesnt make any sense. Sixth Sense was a good movie, but this one was just average. But I liked “The Village”, that was an amazing story.

From the time when Sixth Sense was relased here, the news papers given titles like “The Malayalee director finds his way to Oscars this year” etc etc. Although he was born to the Malayalee parents, India didn’t give him anything. He was born and brought up in America. America gave him everything, so why is all that ga-ga over Shyamalan having India roots? It just doesnt make any sense as well.

Before the media waste their time to find India roots of the successfull Americans, they should spend more time on promoting their own fellow countrymen. Stories of people like Medha Patkar, Sunderlal Bahuguna etc are not glamourous, but can make some sense.
