Biju (S. Balan) called in at night while I was just starting to see “Seven” and said he read my blog and he oppose on many things I mentioned. He says I’m a Bajaj Pulsar – “Definitely Male“. Well, he didn’t really say that, but he meant that I believe in male domination. I’m expecting his comment within a day or two added to my blog. I asked him to put it on the blog. I’m having more fun than I thought with this. On the other hand, am bored.

I found this guy, who is a collegemate, on the road and we chit-chat for a while. He said he is on the way to the hospital, his father is in the hospital, have blood-cancer. It was shocking. You see your old friend after a long time and he has this bad situation. He said “dont pray for building a new house, getting a good job, earning big money, but pray so that you are in good health”.
I found him one moth afterwards, on the road again. He said his father died 3 days after I met him before. It was shocking. He said he still cannot stand with it. He knew that his father would die, most the blood-cancer cases end up like that, but he never thought it would be such soon. He have seen him struggling in his last moments and it was too hard. I can guess the impact that un-expected deaths make. I lost my second bro in an accident in 1997 when he was just 27.
I didn’t sympathize with this guy (because its a worst thing to do), I told him I know its hard, and sharing the incident I had in my life consoled him a bit, it seemed. To ease your pain, share it with your friends.

I haven’t thought that my comment on feminism would grab attention. Thanks to Ranjith and Umechi for the comments made to that post.
Here is a valuable comment:
“You find very bold “feminists” among the rural illiterate poor while the society-feminists are always ready to act the dual role of a good housewife and a bad rebel on the stage and fail on both front.”
Well, ladies, please do not throw your “Femina”s or “The Good Housekeeping”s at me. Thanks in advance!

Came back at work in the morning. Have the kids around in the house and my elder sister. Having kids around is fun. I’m enjoying it as usual. (Sometimes they really make me nuts though). Sent two of them to my second sis’ house in the evening. I took them there. Bought some ice creams. There is a nice offer. If you buy one pack of 750 ML, you will get another one for free! Well, thats cool. I like it. So I bought 2 packs and I got another 2 for free!!! Hmm…
Kids loved it. I ate it while I watched the movie “Ocean’s Eleven” DVD. The movie is thrilling. One of the best rob movies. So am gonna watch the second part (Ocean’s Twelve) pretty soon.
Today was the hottest day I have ever felt.

My PC got crashed on Wednesday. They are examining it and will tell me tomorrow about which all parts got affected by the lightening. Fortunately, I have taken two backups of the client files in some CDs just half an hour before crashing. But, I don’t know how much money I will have to put into this to get it right.
There was a bachelor’s party yesterday night from a friend who is getting married on the day after tomorrow. Could meet some old college mates and it was nice. I went there with Maxim and while we were on the way back, we talked a while about our old days in the college, which was full of fun. And while talking about the life afterwards, we both had to go over a lot of difficult situations. I told him “always look at the brighter side of life”, although I am not doing it quite right all the time.
I thought the PC would get working today, but it looks like it will be at least Tuesday. So I will have to check my mails and do my work from some internet cafe. Thats quite bad. And it will affect my work and productivity a lot. I like working from the comfort of home.
Today I had a quarrel with father and I hate him lots still. I just want to get out of this house with my Amma, but it looks like it will take another 2 years to have my own house and to move there. And that too, only if my business go fine.
And I went to the delegate pass distributing event of the Gargi film fest in the evening. I took a pass for 100 bucks. Actually I am not at all interested in the categorizing of movies like Women Film Festival and I hate the feminism in India. Feminism in India is an adoption of feminism in the west. Thats the worst part. Anyway, I went to take a pass just because Umechi was a apart of the committee. When she gave me a list of films that is going to be screened, I was again dissapointed. They include films made by women. (no matter how good it is).
One of the movies are “Phir Milenge”. A worst remake of the hollywood movie “Philadelphia” which had incredible performances by TomHanks and Denzel Washington. “Philadelphia” not only discussed about AIDS, but the homosexuality also. This film (Phir Milenge) had been in discussion in the media just because it was directed by a women (actress-turned-director Revathy) and tells the story about a women. I think Revathy knew that it was the best thing to get the media attention. The feminist label in movies and literature grabs a good attention and hype for those who dont really deserve it. Revathy is just one of the examples. she wasn’t dared (or?) to discuss homosexuality in her version and she gave it a feminist face. (So that she could grab attention).
And our feminists in this country who keep discussing about the freedom for women in bed and sex think the best way for women empowerment is to exhibit some movies as such. Great!!! I wish if they go and visit the women in the rural areas who doesn’t have education and beaten up by their drunken hubbys and I wish if they do something to educate those women about their rights or to start some kind of co-operative society, to stand on their own, or something like that to help them. Because the film shows are of no help except for some ladies from the upper class who can come over and chat with their pals for a while. I know this is going to be a disaster.
Isn’t there somebody to reveal these frauds in public???

Well girls, first of all I meant no offence.
This joke forwarded by a friend of mine is quite funny (at least to guys!)
The 8’s
What is the difference between girls aged: 8, 18, 28, 38, and 48, 58 and 68?
At 8 – You take her to bed and tell her a story.
At 18 – You tell her a story and take her to bed.
At 28 – You don’t need to tell her a story to take her to bed.
At 38 – She tells you a story and takes you to bed.
At 48 – You tell her a story to avoid going to bed.
At 58 – You stay in bed to avoid her story.
At 68 – If you take her to bed, that’ll be a story!!

I guess this is the third time I’m telling about attending a funeral function, since I started this blog. Today its our old neighbour, died at 66, because of breast cancer. Actually they weren’t neighbours. They rented a part of our house for 10 years. We lived on the two sides of a wall for 10 years.
Amma was telling me about their life in our house, because I was too young when they were here to remember anything about the life at that time. The rented part of our house included a small room, which had the space of a single bed, and a kitchen (i’m not sure you can call it a kitchen). Things were not much different in our side of the house, by the way. This woman lost her parents in her adulthood and had to work hard to raise her younger ones. And she had a very bad life after marriage also (when they were here with the children and all). And after a while, her eldest one got a good job in the Gulf and thus they started to prosper. Now at the dusk of her life, she had this cancer and I heard that it was very much painful. Anyway, thank God that he called her at least this time without causing more trouble.
I’m sure she was happy to die. All of her children are settled and has a fair financial situation and she wouldn’t wanna keep this going for a long time. May God have mercy on her soul…

April 03, 2005 — The trip was planned all in a sudden. I was in the bed at 1 AM and Francis called in my mobile to ask me whether I’m free on that day. I said yes, and he asked me to be ready by 5 AM to go to Munnar! That was totally un-expected, but I really needed an off from the work schedules. And Munnar is a cool place, so that we could breathe some cool air out there. I’ve been to Munnar a long time ago, when I was a boy. This trip was nice.
The other hill stations in South India, like Nilgiris (Ooty) and Kodaikanal are so crowded and now those places are more like townships. But Munnar has not reached that stage yet. So it was nice to see the nature out there. Just a one day trip.
I took some pics and some of it given below:

A view of the hills by 7 AM on April 4 while we were on the way back home. [Click on the image to enlarge]

A view from the Rajamala. Rajamala is famous for the Nigiri Tahrs. This is the only place in the world where Nilgiri Tahrs are seen. [Click on the image to enlarge]

Another view from Rajamala. There were lots of students from England that day. A girl who was taking the picture of the hills can be seen in this picture. [Click on the image to enlarge]
